Describe why offline galleries were uninterested in internet art in the 90s. ANd what gallery was the exception?
The online galleries were uninterested in internet art in the 90s because they were very boring and too slow. Also, they were hard to sell. The Internet-based art was new and unsual. It was very hard to fit into the offline galleries like "traditional" mediums as well. What gallery was the exception was New York's Post Master Gallery. In around 95', a show displayed various internet art and new software. Postmasters hosted this show called "Can You Digit?"
